Pet Licensing & Permits

All dogs over the age of four months and kept in Nevada must be licensed. The license provides proof of ownership, identification should your pet get lost and proof of rabies vaccination. Secure a license within 72 hours upon possession of the puppy.

Pet Vaccinations

The law requires rabies vaccinations for dogs within 30 days after reaching three months of age. Rabies vaccinations must be given by a licensed veterinarian.

Harboring of unspayed / unneutered dogs

It is unlawful for any person to harbor within Nevada any dog over the age of four months that has not been spayed or neutered.
